About LCL

Who we are, what we stand for, and why we formed the group.

Our History

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit group of Child Care lawyers and associated professionals. We formed the organisation in order to share experiences, support one another, and to discuss topical child care related issues.

Membership

Your membership and involvement are welcomed by the London Children's Lawyers. The involvement and enthusiasm of our members enable us to create a multi-disciplinary forum where childcare related law and issues may be discussed. The LCL is solely reliant upon membership dues in order to operate.

Our Purpose

The London Children's Lawyers are:

  1. A group which primarily serves children and young people within the legal system.
  2. A London-based forum for the exchange of information and best practices in relation to childcare law.

Our Goals

  1. Organising seminars that bring together child care practitioners and Children's Guardians in the Greater London area for discussion and debate, and offering Continuing Professional Development courses for training plans.
  2. Developing a network of lawyers and professionals who work in the child care field across the Greater London area in order to share knowledge and best practices.
